Recent airstrikes have forced families in Beirut, Lebanon, to spend nights in vehicles or shelters amid ongoing conflict between Israeli forces and Hezbollah. Nearly one million people remain displaced throughout Lebanon since hostilities began on 2 March. On 23 May, the Israeli military issued evacuation orders for Nabatieh and renewed orders for Mashgara in Bekaa, as rescue operations continued after airstrikes. The World Health Organization confirmed nine attacks on healthcare facilities over four days, resulting in eight health worker deaths and 45 injuries; several staff at Hiram Hospital were among those injured on 23 May. An airstrike destroyed the Civil Defense Center in Nabatieh, impacting emergency response. Additional hospital damage was reported in South and Nabatieh governorates. The UN peacekeeping force UNIFIL reported increased Israeli military activity and Hezbollah attacks, including 91 airspace violations on 22 May—the highest since the 17 April ceasefire—and numerous firing incidents from both sides. Despite the ceasefire, clashes continue, with UNIFIL facilitating humanitarian missions in coordination with aid agencies. In the Occupied Palestinian Territory, UN humanitarians report ongoing restrictions on supply movement into Gaza. The Zikim Crossing remains closed, leaving Kerem Shalom/Karem Abu Salem as the only operational crossing for humanitarian deliveries.
