The Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) of the CDC will hold its 2026 Annual EIS Conference from April 21 to 24 at CDC's main campus in Atlanta. This event, the nation's leading applied epidemiology conference, brings together current EIS officers to share work on outbreak investigations, new scientific findings, and public health strategies.
The 2026 conference also commemorates the 75th anniversary of the EIS program. Special recognitions and reflections will honor the program’s longstanding impact and the contributions of generations of EIS officers. In addition to current officers, the conference will feature presentations by CDC-affiliated fellows and residents in laboratory science and epidemiology training, as well as TED-style talks by EIS alumni.
Due to venue capacity, in-person attendance is limited to current CDC employees and approved health department supervisors recruiting for EIS officers. All sessions will be live-streamed and accessible virtually to media and other interested parties who register online. Media may also submit requests for comments or interviews related to the conference through a form provided by the CDC.
