The U.S. Department of Energy has launched the Nuclear Reactor Pilot Program, initiating an effort introduced under President Trump. The program will initially partner with 11 selected advanced reactor projects to help advance these technologies toward deployment.
According to the DOE, the pilot program is designed to promote the development of next-generation nuclear reactor technologies by providing targeted support, facilitating their progress from concept to practical use.
