NASA has released an image capturing the terminator—the boundary between night and day on Earth. This view was taken by Artemis II astronauts on April 2, 2026, during their mission to the Moon and was shared to celebrate Earth Day.
The agency highlights that its Earth science activities offer unique space-based perspectives, providing satellite data that supports decision-makers. These observations help develop the foundational knowledge and technology needed to sustain human life on the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
