European Union heads of state or government are set to meet informally in Lefkosia and Agia Napa, Cyprus, on 23 and 24 April 2026, according to the European Council media advisory. The event will be chaired by European Council President António Costa and hosted by Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides.
The agenda includes an exchange of views with the President of Ukraine during a roundtable on the evening of 23 April, followed by a working dinner. On 24 April, leaders will hold a working session and further talks with the President of the European Parliament.
Key regional partners from the Middle East will join the EU leaders for an informal working lunch on 24 April, encouraging regional dialogue. The day will also feature a family photo and public statements with the regional partners.
Media representatives wishing to cover the meeting must have obtained accreditation through the Cyprus EU Presidency accreditation platform. The application deadline expired on 8 April 2026. Transport for journalists will be provided, including buses from Larnaka to the press centre in Lefkosia on both days.
