President Donald J. Trump announced an agreement with Regeneron to implement Most-Favored-Nation (MFN) pricing, aligning U.S. drug prices with the lowest paid by other developed countries. This deal will give all State Medicaid programs access to MFN pricing on new Regeneron medicines, potentially saving American patients hundreds of millions. The initiative is part of President Trump's efforts to reform drug pricing and ensure fair international pricing that does not depend on American innovation without fair contribution. The agreement requires Regeneron to repatriate increased foreign revenue from the President’s America First trade policies for the benefit of U.S. patients.

Under the agreement, Regeneron will reduce the price of its cholesterol medication Praluent from $537 to $225 for patients buying directly through TrumpRx. All new Regeneron medicines introduced will be priced at MFN levels for U.S. consumers.

The announcement also includes a provision that Regeneron's new gene therapy, Otarmeni, for a rare genetic form of deafness, will be provided at no cost to U.S. patients. Otarmeni received accelerated approval through the FDA’s National Priority Voucher Program, designed to expedite review of therapies addressing critical national priorities.

Additionally, Regeneron pledged to invest $27 billion in U.S. research, development, and manufacturing by 2029, aiming to more than double its domestic biologic pharmaceutical manufacturing capacity. This investment supports secure pharmaceutical supply chains in the United States.

This partnership marks the 17th MFN deal announced by President Trump, covering the 17 leading pharmaceutical manufacturers and representing 86% of the branded drug market. This signals a significant shift in international drug pricing.
