World Aquatics has begun the bidding process for hosting Artistic Swimming World Cup events from 2027 to 2030, as well as Age-Group Championships from 2028 to 2030.
The World Aquatics Junior Artistic Swimming Championships, held biennially for female athletes aged 15–19 and male athletes aged 15–20, recently had its 8th edition in Budapest, Hungary. The Youth Artistic Swimming Championships, also biennial but in alternating years, feature athletes aged 13–15 for women and 13–16 for men, with the latest edition held in Athens, Greece in 2025.
The bidding process opens during the week of 4 May 2026. Interested parties must submit an Expression of Interest and a Non-Disclosure Agreement by 15 May 2026. Applicants will then receive bidding materials, including a Bid Guide and Application Questionnaire.
Applicants must demonstrate technical ability, financial capacity, and operational readiness during the candidate phase. Shortlisted bidders can join an observer program to learn about event operations and engage with World Aquatics representatives through Q&A sessions. The deadline for final bid submissions and signed hosting agreements is 3 July 2026.
Hosting these events offers host cities the chance to boost their international profile and access economic benefits, including sponsorships, hotel commissions, government grants, ticketing and hospitality revenues, tourism packages, and VIP hospitality. Hosts can also leverage broadcast rights to increase media exposure in their territory. World Aquatics offers global communication support to engage and promote the events to a wide digital audience.
